Jane Bennett

Was walking around the streets last week when I saw a lady covered in paint and painting a canvas on the side of the street.  She was painting an old pub that had been closed for years and I ended up chatting to her for over an hour. Her name is Jane Bennett and she spends all her time painting in the streets and has been doing it for over 30 years. She’s an industrial heritage artist who paints old, damaged, abandoned places and captures the old Sydney. She had so many stories about the old days and told me a bunch of cool stories about old criminals from the area like Neddy Smith, who was around alot during her paintings in the 80’s.  Check out more of her stuff here.
