[thousand words] is an exhibition based on the concept that a picture speaks thousand words and offers an exclusive insight into the intimate and defining moments of some of Australia’s most talented photographers.
Curated by aMBUSH Gallery, ten photographers have been invited to submit a single thought-provoking image, accompanied by 100 words to describe the inspiration and story behind it. These ten photographic stories make up a [thousand words].
[thousand words] presents a photojournalistic approach to the imagery coupled with a behind-the-scenes type of storytelling experience. The exhibition features images and thoughts from high profile and emerging Australian photographers including Tristan Stefan Edouard, Montalbetti + Campbell, Andrew Quilty, Tim Georgeson, Amanda Prior and Stephen Dupont.
